This time, CYATCO Acoustics provided more than 700 square meters of internal wooden acoustic panels for the walls of the Shanghai International School Basketball Hall.
The rapid growth of the economy has driven the construction of sports buildings, and the construction of college sports venues has occupied a considerable proportion. The campus basketball hall is a place for students to exercise and teach basketball. However, due to the large indoor space of the basketball hall, the long propagation distance of the sound wave, and the limited sound absorption area, it can easily lead to too long reverberation time, making the indoor sound cloudy, thus affecting the clarity of the voice, and then affecting the use of the basketball hall. Therefore, in order to ensure the normal use of these campus basketball halls and a good acoustic environment, it is necessary to carry out acoustic transformation.
In order to solve the problem of defective sound quality in the basketball hall of Shanghai International School, the school specially commissioned CYATCO Acoustics to carry out acoustic design, production, and construction of acoustic materials. After the analysis of the basketball stadium, we found that there may be some defects in the sound quality such as echo and flutter echo. The north and south walls of the basketball stadium are particularly prone to echo and vibration echo, so we have carried out strong sound absorption treatment for the north and south walls in the renovation scheme. Through the application of acoustic panels, the reverberation time can be controlled and the sound quality defects can be eliminated.
Wood sound-absorbing board is a commonly used material in acoustic reconstruction. It has good sound-absorbing performance and can effectively reduce echo and flutter echo. In the acoustic renovation of the basketball hall of Shanghai International School, we selected a wooden acoustic panel as the acoustic material. Through the installation of the north and south walls, we successfully controlled the reverberation time, eliminated the defects of echo and vibration echo, and further improved the acoustic environment of the basketball hall.
