Shenzhen Futian District Middle School is a Grade I school in Guangdong Province with an area of 20,000 square meters, which is recognized as a green school and an advanced unit of the education system in Shenzhen. The school’s multifunctional lecture hall is designed by Chuangya Acoustics, which is responsible for the production and installation of acoustic panels.
In the lecture hall, there are parallel walls, which cause the sound to constantly reflect between the walls, resulting in multiple echoes and continuous repetition of the sound. To improve this situation, we chose to install sound-absorbing panels on the wall to help absorb the sound energy, reduce the reflection and echo of the sound, and thus improve the balance of the sound field.

In the multi-functional lecture hall project of Shenzhen Middle School, we selected high-quality, high absorption coefficient sound absorption board materials to achieve the best acoustic effect. Using advanced materials and manufacturing processes, our sound-absorbing akupanels effectively absorb the energy of sound waves and reduce the production of echoes and noise. Fifteen slats backed with a Resonance Acoustic panel and faced with a beautiful wood veneer. The acoustic akupanel obtains a Noise Reduction Coefficient of 0.87 over the range of frequencies tested. Our PET polyester fiber panels are made from 50% recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable.
